UTAH!!!
So lots to share with everyone!!! I went on a huge roadtrip with my friend Sophie and it was awesome!! We spent a week in Southern Alberta, then went to Montana, then Idaho, then Utah, then Mesa, Arizona, then San Diego and Los Angeles, then Vegas and then back to Utah! So in Alberta we went to a wedding, spent some time with Mette and went quading!! It was super fun! In Montana we went horseback riding!! It was fun and the view was beautiful! In Idaho we met up briefly with some old friends and then in Utah we just spent time with friends again. We went to St. George, Utah where we saw some old Church History sites and the St. George temple! We arrived in Mesa on the night of June 10th and had such a great time there! We went and spent the weekend with the missionary that baptized me, Josh Durrant. We went four-wheeling and watched a movie under the stars! Me and him also got to visit the Mesa temple which was amazing! I went to my first professional baseball game! Cheered on the Arizona Diamondbacks! haha. I got a free shirt and a free bag.. and even a free bobble-head!! haha. It was way fun! I also got to hold his half-brother.. who is a baby!! And I love holding babies haha. On the Monday we went to San Diego and went surfing!! Not sure if you would call what we did "surfing"... but it was way fun anyway! Exhausting too! We then visited the San Diego temple... except it was under some renovations... then we headed to Laguna Beach to watch the sun set! It was absolutely gorgeous!! After that we visited the Newport Beach Temple.. and then headed to LA! In LA we just walked around and stopped for a bite to eat. We were sooo exhausted! We drove through the night... and by "we".. I mean Sophie... I barely drove poor girl. We arrived in Vegas at 6am... slept until 2pm and then visited the Las Vegas temple... stopping by at Sonic for a delicious meal! haha. We then went back to the hotel and walked along the strip! Got some epic pictures with Iron Man.. and then headed back home for our last night together! The next day I had some major car problems.... but finally at 5pm I was headed to Provo, UT! (Sophie had flown out that morning) I got to Utah and spent two nights at my friend Angela's! On that Friday, the 18th, I moved into my very cute and lovely apartment!!! My roommates, Izzy and Rachel, are from Gilbert, AZ and I love them!! They are so awesome!! Last weekend I also got to go to a friend's wedding which was so great and visit with some people. School started on Monday and I love it!!! I am so into it and working really hard! It's so much easier for school to be your entire focus when you are away from home! :)
I love my school, it's a beautiful campus!! And I love how I am encouraged to be a better person spiritually as I establish my education too! The teachers are so awesome and I just love the spirit here!! I am taking Spanish and Mission Prep. My Spanish class is really teaching me a lot!! It's very focused on my weaknesses!! The past-tense... and accents!! That's what we are working on!!
Last night I went to the Manti Pageant! It's a church Pageant and it was the second-last night! The temple there is beautiful and it was cool to see so many people there!! I met some sister missionaries and we got to chat for a little while! I love them!! I told them about my friend Leanne Harvey who will be coming to the St. George mission in September!!
Anyway, I love where I am at and am so happy! I miss the family though! Wish you guys could all be here!! But then I wouldn't get much of my homework done.... watch for pictures soon!!

Besos and love you all!!!

Moving!!!

Hey everyone!! Wow, it's been way too long since I posted anything!! I will put up some pictures to catch everyone up!! So... a quick rundown of my life since September: I finished the Fall semester and headed down with the family to Brazil!! I'm sure you have all seen pictures by now! Then I got back and was super busy catching up in school, then my best friend, Andrew Chester, was baptized! It was so great to be a part of that!!! Then the Olympics came around... I got to touch a famous country singer... haha... and then my Church dedicated a temple in Vancouver! Now that's worth talking about! We have over 20,000 chapels all over the world but only 130 temples.. well, now 131! :) The President of the Church, the Prophet, Thomas S. Monson came and dedicated it! Also, the same weekend, before he dedicated the temple, 1,200 youth performed a show of the history of BC and the Saints here. I was a counsellor during that weekend for 20 of those amazing youth! Being responsible for 20 kids on my own, and having them all have to be at all different locations throughout the day made me appreciate mothers just a bit more!! My group were 12-14 years old... so it was a bit hard to keep them together and engaged in everything! But we all had a ton of fun! The Prophet spoke to them before the show and it was so great!!! We have truly been incredibly blessed! So that Sunday the temple was dedicated in 3 sessions. (Technically it was in the first one, but they do the other two for people to get a chance to attend, especially parents.) I got to be in the sealing room (where families are sealed together for time and all eternity) for the first session!! So I got to be INSIDE THE TEMPLE!!! I was sooo blessed to have that opportunity!! The feelings of the Spirit were so strong there and it was such an amazing event to take part in!! I actually got to be in the temple for the third dedicatory session as well!! It happened out of the blue (because you have to be offered, you can't just get a ticket). So now, we have a temple!!!! :) YAY!! Also, I found out that they are renovating the Buenos Aires temple!! And they'll have to re-dedicate it!! I hope I get to be there!!!
So that updates you to the first weekend of May! Now, I am moving to Utah!!!! I leave on Sunday! I will be going with my best friend Sophie Gatt and we are spending a week in Alberta first, then a night in Montana, and then s few days in Provo, UT! Then my friend might fly up from Arizona and then we will drive down to Mesa, AZ for me to meet his family! :) And then I start school at BYU!! I am going down there for the summer term! I am going into 3rd year Spanish (which is what we call "RM Spanish".. for the returned missionaries that served in Spanish-speaking countries)!! The really cool thing is, I am also taking a 16-credit exam which gives me credit for the first 2 years of Spanish too! So I will have 20 Spanish credits by the end of the Summer! I am also taking another class, probably a religion class... but maybe Linear Algebra.. I guess we'll see when I get there!!
I am living on Campus at Wyview Park. It is an apartment, with two roommates! I get my own room and they share one. It's $325 for two months!! How insane is that!? haha. I love how cheap Utah is!!
So I guess that's it!! I'm just working now... my last day is on Friday.. and trying to find time for everthing!! It's a little bit crazy!
I am super excited, but quite nervous!! I will miss the family... and Mami especially... :( BUT it will be a great growing experience and I will be FORCED to cook for myself.... I already found a website "studentrecipes.com" haha. It should get me through the summer! Let's hope so anyway! :)

Love you all and I really hope everything is well!! Bi, we want pictures of your little belly as soon as you can see it!!

Besos a todos!!!!!!

PS - I am hoping to go to Argentina in September for a few months. Just get a job and practice my Spanish!! SO... I am looking for jobs at the moment, any help would be amazing! :)

Busy Busy!

Hola!!!
So I got an e-mail from Andres to remind me that I haven't updated this in a while!! haha. So yeah... I have been crazy busy lately! So much Church and school stuff going on!! I am just taking three classes too! Luckily! haha. I am taking English, Chemistry and Biology. I love Chemistry, I don't mind English, but I HATE Biology. Like, REALLY hate. Anyway, I have to tests this week and then the next day I leave for Utah!!! I am going to what we call General Conference in Salt Lake City. It happens twice a year in April and October. It is broadcast ALL over the world!!! So if you guys want to see it.. or even just see what it's about.. you can do it online at lds.org OR on TV! (Not sure what channel it would be in Argentina haha). We get to hear the leaders of our Church speak and this year I actually get to BE there!! So if you decide to see what's it all about, look for me singing hymns! haha. I'll try to be loud so you can hear me :)
I am really really excited. I'm driving down and I'll spend three days there. I'll stay at my friend's house and get to see people I don't usually get to see! Life is SO different down there! But I love it soooo much! And it's sooo cheap to live there! AND there is a Mexican food place called Cafe Rio (I usually hate Mexican food by the way) and it is AMAZING!! So me and my friend are really excited to go there!! Since I have connections... I also got free tickets to see the BYU football game on Friday night!! Should be a really good time!!
Que mas.... me fui a la despedida de un misionero aca en Vancouver. But it was in the Spanish branch. I met some Chilenos. They were really nice!! They asked what my family thought about the Church and I told them I had brought dad to Spanish branch and he really liked it! (Mostly because they asked me to say the closing prayer in front of everyone on the microphone IN SPANISH at the end of Church, and I did... and he was really touched and impressed! haha.) And she's like "Bring him back sometime!!" It was so cute! I only wish I could!! Dad seemed so happy there because he knew it was what made me happy!!

Another thing I love about Utah... there are a lot more cute guys!!! haha. And more my type! (Skinny, tall, dark hair, dark eyes....etc) hahaha. Y Andres, the guy that hung out three nights with me wasn't JUST with me!! And I don't like him like that! But he is a really amazing guy! He came out again today too!

I just had a Church event tonight where we watched a really good movie they play in Salt Lake City at the Visitor's centre! It was really good! So many people were crying!! haha. So cute!

Anyway, I have a full day of studying tomorrow... so I better get to bed!!
I love you guys!! I really want to go visit for a month or longer in January! And of course, I want to be there para Navidad!!!

Keep me updated on yourself!! I love you all very much!!

Besos a todos!!

Cami.

PS - The picture above is the picture of the Salt Lake City temple!! It is where I will be going and the building I will be admiring!!! It's beautiful! And this time, I will get to go inside!!! :)
When you go to Ezeiza look for the Buenos Aires one!! Me and Caro took lots of pictures in front of it when we were there!! Beautiful!

Preparing for the new season! :)

I start school tomorrow. And I had institute welcome week this past weekend!! It was fun, we had a dance, a BBQ and on Sunday we had church with all the young adults from Vancouver to Abbotsford!! It was really good!!!! It was also Fast and Testimony Sunday.. So i got to go up and bear my testimony! I love doing that! :)
I also met a guy thatserved his mission in Argentina!! He's really fun! And speaks sooooo well! (I mean, mostly because of the Argentine accent) And he knew Peques!!!! And there is something that is almost like Peques! He's going to show me! And we are having Matte sometime! Haha. We even got to talk about how much we live Dulce De Leche! Haha.
Also, like Caro said, I took my friend from Hat High! We were never friends in high school... Or in college... Even though we were in classes together, but then I saw him crossing the street in Burnaby.... And Facebooked him and found out he live here! And so does his sister, Kim! An old teammate of mine!! So he came out three nights in a row!! And his sister wants me to come over and have a BBQ with them! They are really sweet!!
I've been busy with work now as well... And super tired!! It'll be nice to sleep in tomorrow... I only have to be at school for eight thirty!! Hahaha.
I am soooooo excited for school!! I miss learning!! And a set schedule!! And I am taking classes that I haven't studied since high school, so I'm really excited for it!!! Definitely outside my comfort zone!!
I've been trying to listen and speak more Spanish too!! I downloaded a bunch of music from Argentina's top twenty!! And I love it! I also just finished the Book of Mormon, so now I'm reading it in Spanish now!! I realized how much I suck at reading In Spanish!!! Oh well, I'll get it someday!
This week.... I am just going to school... And working a ten and a half hour shift on Saturday!! Ughh.. But I have three days off until then!! :)
Oh and me and Caro went to donate blood a couple weeks ago... And I wasn't allowed because my iron was a little too low. (it doesn't mean anything serious, and my blood is fine... They are just worried that I might feel faint if they take it) so anyway, I wasreally upset about that... Because I like that opportunity to give... So it's been a test.... To make myself focus on myself sometimes... I can give water from an empty well. So now I'm taking multivitamin pills for women. The guy at the place recommended them so that I am ready to donate in 56 days, and to it helps for when I'm older... And I've been trying to now be cheap when I buy food at work!! And trying to just eat healthier!!
Love you guys and miss you!!!!!!!!

School!!

So today begins my last week of summer!! And, to be perfectly honest, I am not heartbroken at all! haha. I am so excited to start school again!! I feel like my brain has been rotting for months! It feels useless! ha.
So my school's name is Capilano University. It's the same Uni I went to last year. I'll be taking Chemistry, Biology, and English. Just some basic courses to increase my GPA for my applications to transfer to another University. If you don't already know, I plan on being a Physics teacher. And a coach. I really love sports and kids. And my coaches and teachers made a big difference in my life.
I hope I can do that for someone else.

One of my favourite things EVER is back to school shopping!! So I can't wait to get my new notebooks and textbooks! It gets me so excited for the new change! haha. And I just got my Mac fixed!! So now it's all ready for learning! haha.

Anyway, I start school on 8th! And a lot less of work at the airport. I am happy about not standing for long hours... but I'll miss not being in the airport environment all the time! :)

Love you guys very very much!!

Besos a todos!

Let's keep in touch!

So I was thinking of a better way for us to all keep in touch from each of our corners of the world... and thought this might help!! If we all get blogs and update them weekly (as much as possible) we can all check in on each other when we have time!! :)
I am totally new to the blogging this as well, so take it easy on me!!
Today Cata went out for lunch with friends... then they watched The Hannah Montana movie... and then me and Caro and mom all watched it at night! .. while Cata went to a party! haha.
We are all enjoying the last week of summer! Cata goes back to school on Wednesday, and I go back to school next Tuesday!!
We had some beautiful weather today and me and Caro sat at the park and read a little... except I more texted than read... but enjoyed the sun anyway! haha.

I love and miss you guys very very much!!!

Besos a todos!! PLEASE create your own blog too!! It's easy... so far!
